Crabtree & Evelyn commissioned the renowned English rose expert David Austin to cultivate a flower of singular beauty and exquisite fragrance. Eight years and 30,000 seedlings later, he conjured up the magnificent 'Evelyn', which exceeded our wildest expectations. Later, V Mane Fils, a fourth-generation perfume house in the South of France, accepted the challenge of bottling Evelyn’s fragrance as an Eau de Parfum. Here, master perfumers were able to capture the fragrance of the living rose – entirely different from a cut flower – and recreate it in liquid form.
